A first half blitz of three goals in
twenty minutes ensured a comfortable win for BBFC. A lacklustre performance
from Hastings APF in the first 45 meant that BBFC threatened to run riot after
close range goals from Stuart and Dom, and a fine breakaway goal by Dom. Stuart
also hit the bar twice with long-range efforts. Dom almost got his hat-trick at
the start of the second when he latched onto Steve’s shot, but the ball flew
over the bar. One disappointment was
the booking of Alan in the second half after a warning by the referee only
seconds previously. This was BBFC’s first ever booking. The second half tailed
off as Hastings APF got back into the game, but this result was another three
points, making it 13 points from a possible 15 and also 4 clean sheets in that
time as well.
