General News
Please all see the below message from Gary if you haven't already.
In addition, can I ask that you send through your responses to the questionnaire you will have received recently. It will not take you long to fill out and can be sent back to us free of charge.
I urge you to be honest and say as much as you want about the running of your club. All responses will be collated confidentially by the player's representative, Richard Ahsam, and he will provide the results of the survey to the management committee. We hope to do this next week so we can plan in plenty of time for next season, so please complete your forms asap.
Finally my apologies for not updating the site recently with the details from the previous week. I have been a bit busy in that time but will put them up over the next few days.

MEMBERSHIP FEES
The Committee has instructed me and Steve not to select players who have not paid their Membership fee by the end of February. This has urgent consequences on the teams for next weekend!!!
This message is intended as a polite reminder to the following players who, according to our records, haven’t yet paid.
Paul Ford, Dom Fowler, Ben Garlick, Josh Mullett, Alan Cowley, Jamie Pooley, Tom Frere Smith, Simon Cutler, Doug Morris, Sean Tottman, Joe O'Neil, Grant Lewis, David Greenslade, Steve Mullett, Adam Staplehurst, Elliot Henchy, Andy Hales, Howie Ralph.
This list was provided by Secretary Gary Wenham who has responsibility for collecting this fee and for maintaining records of members. Please ensure that this is sorted out with Gary at your earliest convenience.
Each year, the Committee sets a Budget which details how much it will cost to organise and run the football club. This includes hiring the pitches, hiring training facilities, buying kit, equipment, first aid, referees’ fees, FA affiliation fees, cup competition entries, insurance, end of season awards, plus other miscellaneous expenses which are incurred during a normal season. Expenditure this year for 2 teams is expected to be around £4800.
Clearly these monies need to be collected and we do this in 2 ways. Firstly, we collect match fees and training fees directly from those players who attend on a Saturday or Wednesday. Secondly we collect an annual £10 Membership fee from everyone who wishes to use the Club for football, including those who only wish to train. (£2 of this fee will be spent on an ESFL Registration form if the player intends to play in League matches). Our aim is to welcome newcomers and we are happy for them to attend training until such a time that they decide to join the Club. However, anyone who attends training regularly must become a Club Member since they are using the facilities of the football club.
We’re now more than half way through the season and the non-collection of these fees represents a significant shortfall in our finances for this season.

LEAGUE and CLUB NEWS
From now onwards all Saturday afternoon Kick Offs will move back to 3pm.
There's a full League Programme of Fixtures both on Easter Saturday (7th April) and on EASTER MONDAY (9th April)
EVENING MATCHES will commence in April.
Please let me know if you are interested in rolling the pitch at the rec.
I need a team of 4-6 volunteers to be on call. It can only really be done when the water drains and before the top gets too hard.
This afternoon I went to watch Battle Rangers play on the pitch in awful conditions. The pitch was much too heavy for football and players really struggled. The surface is now cut up and when the surface hardens it will be dangerous. If we want a good playing surface for football we can't rely on the Town Council to provide it.

INCREDIBLE!!!
Amazingly the first team don't have a fixture next week since our scheduled opponents, Cranbrook are involved in a cup match and all the other Division 3 teams already have a fixture. Since the League Cup matches have all been suspended I can only think that Cranbrook must be involved in a Kent Cup Competition.
I've booked Claverham Sports Centre for us to play some football next Saturday between 1pm and 2pm. Afterwards we can step outside and support the 2nds against Pelham.
These are the people I'll be expecting (unless Steve wants you for the 2nds game).
Paul F, Paul R, Darrell, Gary Wi, Gary We, Owen, Simon H, Gary Wa, Andy, Dave, Pete, Alan, Dom, Adam....please let me know if you can't make it.
Unavailable:Bryan, Stuart, Jamie.

Games are on!
Please note that at present both games are on.
The firsts have reversed the fixture due to the state of the rec and are now away at Mayfield.
The seconds will be subject to a pitch inspection by the ref at 1pm when we get to Bexhill Road.
We have had problems this week with availability as lots of people are either away, injured or ill. Can I express my appreciation now for those that have made themselves available and are less than 100%, either through illness, injury or general fitness. Your committment is admirable.
Please also check which team you are now playing in as there have been lots of changes between the two sides. If you go to the wrong game there is the very real chance one of the teams could be left with less than 11 men.

CHANGE OF FIXTURE!!!
Next Saturday the 1sts are away to Catsfield in a change to the original schedule. Please let everyone know that we are not away to E'Bourne Dynamos.
Yesterday's win against Burwash saw us playing the most cosistently good football that we've played this season. Although we could've made it easier for ourselves by scoring goals earlier and not leaving it until the last minute, we did give extra value to the fans and kept them on the edge of their seat.
From where I stood it was a comfortable win and and a really good performance by everyone...a really enjoyable afternoon!
The day was made complete by hearing that the second team had won so convincingly at top of the table Pelham. Well done fellas!
